Maple Trade Finance is a young and dynamic company offering innovative financing solutions to Canadian businesses. The company is currently expanding their services across Canada, and has a need for a fluently bilingual (French and English) Regional Director in the Quebec area.

Through a partnership approach to lending, Maple Trade Finance has taken the best of the conventional banking industry and combined it with the flexibility of traditional factoring companies. Clients are offered a variety of products and services to enhance cash-flow throughout the entire process – from purchase order through to final invoice payment.

The Regional Director, from Maple Trade Finance’s office in Montreal, will find, develop and maintain clients for the company’s financial services in Quebec. There is a focus on small to medium-sized exporters in Quebec. The successful candidates will have strong business development skills. Several years of business-to-business sales experience combined with a “hunter” instinct will have produced a strong record of success. A commercial lending/banking experience would be important assets.

Complete comfort and proficiency dealing with individuals at all levels, in English and French within a company, including Chief Financial Officers, will be a strong attribute. The ability to produce creative solutions for clients will also be valuable. Banking/financial services experience would be a definite asset but not an absolute requirement. Maple Trade Finance will orient and support the right individual who is trained in classic business development and experienced in selling intangible services. The successful candidates will be motivated by a significant performance-based compensation plan.

Additional desirable attributes would be an understanding of the business of exporting and familiarity with Export Development Canada or AR insurance. This is an opportunity for individuals with a strong drive for results, an energetic “hands-on” approach, and solid communication and relationship-building skills.
